Kevin Dillan asked:

Since top celebrities like Oprah and Rachael Ray have come out praising Acai Berry products as the number one weight loss food many people have begun searching for these products. And many have fallen victim to Acai Berry Scams. Here’s how to protect yourself from such scams.

Firstly, Acai berries do help you lose weight. That’s a fact. If you want Acai berry based products then you should make sure you get them from trusted sources.

The first of the two Acai Berry Scams or perhaps deceptive advertising schemes is a pyramid scheme. This scheme requires you to pay a lot of money up front in order to own a franchise to sell Acai berry juice, pills or extracts. Don’t fall for this! The only way you’ll make any money from the scheme is by referring other people and not by selling products. And that’s a recipe for disaster and the makings of a pyramid scheme. If any program wants you to refer other people to it in order for you to make money it’s very possible that it’s a scam.

The second most prominent scam is a bunch of sites that promise Free Acai Berry Pills where you “only” have to pay a small shipping and handling fee. If you don’t read the fine print your credit card will be billed for the entire product which can run you up to $90.00 dollars a month. So be careful and read the fine print. Not all free Acai berry pill sites are Acai berry scams though. There are some legitimate ones but if you visit them make sure that you read the fine print before you order.

Acai berry based products are very helpful in helping you lose weight. The key to finding the best products is to read lots of reviews on the Acai products and read what others are saying about them.

Buy Acai With Caution – Detect Scam Sites so You Don’t Get Burned

acai scams
Samantha Baskey asked:

Acai supplements are not exactly cheap. It is no surprise therefore that some unscrupulous companies have taken advantage of people who want to buy acai.

This being an exotic berry and foreign to many of us (we even need to be told how it’s pronounced!), it can be a little bit difficult to find truthful and honest information about it. What’s even worse is that recently, there has been a lot of customer complaints about various companies who have scammed them of their money.

This article lists down some important things to consider to make sure you are not dealing with an acai company that is in the scam business.

1. Beware of Free Acai Berry Offers

These free offers have recently been getting a lot of complaints that even the Better Business Bureau has stepped in. Whether or not they are a scam is a  thin line.

Just make sure that if you do get a free offer, you know what you’re in for. Read the fine print. If you want to take your research even further, know more about the company by searching for any customer reviews on Google. That should give you enough information.

2. Know the ingredients of the acai supplement that you want to buy.

Not all acai capsules are the same. Some have 100% acai, others have mixtures of other fruit, while others have caffeine in them. Some even use acai seed! (and no research has shown that the seed has any nutrient value).  Make sure you know what you’re getting. And with the price that you pay when you buy acai, you deserve only the best product.

3. Know the physical address and the contact information of the company you’re buying it from.

This is very important but from my research very few actually do it when doing business online. We have become so used to doing online transactions that we don’t even think anymore about whether or not the business actually exists!

Now, when you’ve got the number, call them. See what customer service is like. Know if the phone even exists.
